This process was difficult for everyone involved, but you made a difference.
We would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to:
 | All of the volunteers who stood outside our libraries day after day, asking people to fill out postcards of support |
 | Each and every person who took time out of their day to fill out a postcard of support or send an electronic message to our elected officials |
 | Educators who stepped up and attended budget hearings on behalf of the students they teach |
 | Each person who championed our message on Facebook and Twitter, as well as those who visited our website, forwarded our emails and rallied their friends and families around our cause |

Finally, we want to thank our elected officials for listening to their constituents and finding a reasonable, effective way to keep our libraries open. Thank you, City Council and the Office of the City Manager, not only for holding public hearings so that citizens had an opportunity to be heard, but for taking those recommendations and pleas to heart. The future of our city depends on the quality of our community, and thanks to your thoughtful leadership we can continue to avert urban decay and our neighborhoods can flourish.
